Process
Before joining any of our programmes, students have to take an online placement test to assess their English writing, speaking, and reading abilities. After registering for our General English language course, you will be provided access to our exclusive student portal in which you will have to complete the following tests:

Is it difficult to learn English?
Learning English with WSE Dubai is easy, as we use creative and effective teaching techniques. Our highly qualified and native English-speaking teachers develop interactive study materials to help you understand our General English lessons. We also organise exciting social activities where you will get to practise language skills learnt in the classrooms.
How long will it take to learn General English?
This completely depends on your learning ability. However, each progression of the General English course for adults will take 12 weeks in the form of semi-intensive classes and 6 weeks as intensive classes.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my General English language course progression?
If any student starts showing real improvement in their English skills through our classes, then they can request an upgrade on the student portal, which will be confirmed based on a thorough evaluation. The student’s English language skills will be retested and evaluated to decide whether they can upgrade or downgrade to a higher or lower stage of our General English course.
Can I change or switch to another course after beginning?
At WSE Dubai, we allow students to switch to our other English courses. However, this will be totally dependent on eligibility of the student, approval from the Academics, and availability of the desired level. The student can make a request for an English language course change through our dedicated student portal. Please note that the option to avail intensive classes will not be available if you shift from General English language course to our other courses.
How can I know my current English proficiency?
Once you register with ES Dubai, an easy-to-use profile will be created for you on our student portal. After completing our online English language enrolment test on this portal, we will evaluate your performance. Based on your current English course progress, you will be allocated to the most suitable stage of our General English course for adults.
